Below you will find over 200 high-yield neuropathology slides and images. These images were selected to be the most valuable for in-service/RITE* and ABPN board examinations.
Many of the pathology slides above are used with permission from two major resources. One is the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Division of Neuropathology and the other is the University of Rochester Neurology Department.
The Neuropathology Division functions as an integral part of the University of Pittsburgh’s Pathology Department. The Division is also affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh Center for Neuroscience and Brain Institute.
Dr. Clayton Wiley, MD, PhD is the director of the Division of Neuropathology and has been a strong supporter and contributor to this site. Their website has compiled a list of over 1000 cases related to neuropathology which can be reviewed at your leisure.
Dr. Ralph Jozefowicz is the former Residency Program Director at the University of Rochester. Among many other titles that he holds at the institution, he also led the Mind, Brain, and Behavior Course which exposes second-year medical students to neuropathology and neuroimaging. Pathology slides and images from this course were incorporated into NowYouKnowNeuro with permission from Dr. Jozefowicz.
